Borron Shaw & Co was founded in 1977 by John Borron and Peter Shaw.
The present Managing Director, Tom Turton joined the Partnership in 1980.
The Company took Limited status following the retirement of Peter Shaw and John Borron with Tom Turton becoming Managing Director in 1992.
Between 1992 and 1999 the Company expanded significantly and in addition to having offices in Wigan, Standish, Hindley and Orrell, Ashton-in-Makerfield and Newton-le-Willows the Company had an association with J B & B Leach, trading from St Helens and Earlestown.
During 1999 the Company sold sections of its practice. The tie with J B & B Leach was severed. John Pendlebury and Derek Smith acquired the Residential Estate Agency to trade as Borron Shaw (Estate Agents) Ltd from offices in Wigan, Hindley and Orrell.
In 2004 the Residential Management Practice was transferred also to Borron Shaw (Estate Agents) Ltd based in Hindley.
In 2005 Andrew Smith effected a buy-out of the commercial sales and lettings arm trading from Library Street, Wigan.
Borron Shaw & Co Limited is, therefore, a completely independent company operating from 24 Bridgeman Terrace, Wigan.
